Meet Some of Our Current Dedicated Volunteers!
Kendall

Kendall has been a Zoo Aide for the past two years and works as a volunteer in the Primate Building helping the keepers prepare diets and clean exhibits. She especially enjoys that the animals she works around seem to recogize her. When she’s not at the Zoo she is a full time college student.
Luke

Luke has been a Docent and Zoo Aide for the past five years. In 2007 alone he spoke with over 20,000 guests sharing conservation messaging. Luke enjoys being able to interpret using the Zoo’s education animals and helping the zookeepers design enrichment activities for the animals. He recently received a Heart and Hands award from the Utah Nonprofits Association.
Tina

Tina has been a Docent since 1994. She has served as President of the Docent Council and is currently the Volunteer Membership Chairwoman. Tina enjoys working with children of all ages. She is known for her creative teaching skills. If you see her on grounds ask her to sing her gecko song or perform her turtle shell finger play!
Emma

Emma recently received her 30-year pin as a Docent at the Zoo. She and her husband can be found giving community programs throughout the Wasatch Front. During her time as a volunteer she has visited every county in Utah and educated thousands of Utah school children about animals and their ecosystems!
