Skaggs Wild Utah exhibit. Experience this beloved attraction with an all-new train route and electric locomotive.
Important note: the Eccles Express train is weather-dependent. For safety reasons, the Eccles Express cannot operate when there is water, snow, or ice on the tracks. The train might also be down due to unforeseen mechanical issues. For up-to-date ride operations, please call Guest Services at (801) 584-1700.

Conservation Carousel
The Conservation Carousel opens at 10 AM each day. With its timeless appeal and classic design, the Conservation Carousel is a beloved attraction for guests of all ages. It features 42 hand-carved animals, two accessible chariots, and is covered by a pavilion for year-round use. Proceeds from each Carousel ticket purchase go toward our Big 6 conservation programs.

Lighthouse Point Splash Pad
Jump through water streams, zoom down the lighthouse slide, and cool off from the hot summer sun at the Lighthouse Point Splash Pad.

Creekside Play Area
The Creekside Play Area is a shaded play area that overlooks Emigration Creek. This play area is the perfect place for kids to connect with nature and for parents to relax after a long day at the zoo. Note that the play area will close for safety if there is water or snow on the equipment.

Joseph M. Simmons Foundation Nature Play Area
Thanks to the generous support of the Joseph M. Simmons Foundation, guests can have fun and learn to be Wild Aware at the Nature Play Area & Interpretive Campsite at the new Aline W. Skaggs Wild Utah exhibit.
