Please read our Membership FAQ’s for everything you need to know:
Where can I buy my membership?
The quickest and most convenient way to buy, renew, or gift a membership is right here on our website. You can also do this in-person at the Member & Guest Services window during your next zoo visit.
How do I know when my membership expires?
Membership expiration dates can be found on your digital membership card, or you can look up the details of your membership here on our website.
I bought/renewed my membership online, how do I get my membership card?
Permanent membership cards are available at the Member & Guest Services office after online purchases. The intended primary or secondary named adults must be physically present with their Photo ID when picking up membership cards. Digital membership cards are also available for download on Apple and Android phones.
How long does my membership last?
You can enjoy the benefits of your membership for 12 months after the date of purchase. Gift memberships become active at the time of redemption.
As a member, do I have to reserve tickets in advance?
Nope! Zoo members can skip the ticket lines and go directly to the main gate for admission.
Is a photo ID required for entry?
Yes! Verifying your identity ensures that you receive the appropriate benefits for your membership. This also protects members by ensuring only you can use your membership card. A named adult on the membership card must always be physically present to admit children and guests.
How does my membership support conservation?
Zoo members are champions for the animals we love— both at the zoo and in the wild. Your support helps to provide world-class care to our animals and funding for conservation efforts around the globe.
With your contributions, we have invested in several conservation initiatives. These include (but are not limited to) constructing ranger stations in Uganda, outfitting orangutan research teams in Borneo, and securing critical boreal toad habitats here in Utah.
Will my membership at Utah’s Hogle Zoo work at other zoos?
Yes! Utah’s Hogle Zoo participates in the AZA Reciprocity program, which offers free or discounted admission to over a hundred participating zoos and aquariums around the country. Our zoo members also receive 50% off admission to Tracy Aviary on Thursdays.
What if I lose my membership card?
There is a $5 replacement fee for re-printing lost membership cards. Hogle Zoo recognizes that sustainability is an important part of conservation. We are committed to minimizing our carbon footprint by making most of our operations eco-friendly. You can support our sustainability efforts by downloading a digital version of your membership card to your phone. You can read more about how to do this here.
I’m moving! Can I get a refund for my membership?
Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable to another household once used. Even if you do not get a chance to visit us in person, your financial contribution still supports our conservation efforts both in Utah and around the world.
My membership has guest spots – can my guest use my membership if I’m not there?
Memberships can only be used by the named adult members on your membership card. Named adults must be individuals living in a single household at the same physical address (with the exception of the Duo membership). Guests must always be accompanied by a named adult each visit. Sharing a membership will result in the membership being revoked.
Can I bring my children’s friends?
The children listed on the membership must be the dependent children of the named adults in the household. Members are not allowed to bring children that do not live in their household. If grandchildren are listed, they must be the grandchildren (under the age of 18) of the named grandparents on the card.
Can I use my membership for my organization?
We do not offer memberships for groups, group homes, organizations, corporations, or for any large group or commercial use. If you use a membership for any of these purposes, the membership will be revoked without warning and without a refund.
What happens if my membership is revoked?
Hogle Zoo reserves the right to revoke memberships at any time due to misuse of the membership benefits, or abuse of Hogle Zoo’s animals or employees.
Members get unlimited daytime admission during regular zoo hours for a full year. Some after-hours events require an additional fee. Memberships become active at the time of purchase.
