Utah's Hogle Zoo
Library Nature Kits
In April 2022, with a grant from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Utah’s Hogle Zoo created and distributed 100 UHZ Nature Kits to help families get up close and personal with surrounding wildlife. The kits were created with the aim of inspiring children and families to take a closer look at nature all around them by making connection with it it more accessible. These kits include:
- Binoculars
- Bug viewer
- Clip-on phone camera lens
- Species ID cards
- Species checklist
- Butterfly net
Now, growing the program, UHZ Nature Kits will be available for check out in Utah County public libraries.
Visit any Salt Lake County or Utah County public library to check-out a UHZ Nature Kit.
