8:30 AM-4:00 PM Do you have a passion for animals? Would you love to have a chance to discover what it takes to be a zookeeper? This full-day class allows adults 18 years and older to step into the world of zoos and learn about how Utah’s Hogle Zoo cares for its animals. You will learn about the day-to-day operations of running an AZA-accredited zoo, hear insider stories, meet some fantastic animal ambassadors, help our staff clean animal enclosures, prepare meals, and make enrichment. This deep dive into zookeeping will help you discover ways you can take action to help animals and become a Champion for Wildlife.

6:00-9:00 PM Activate your x-ray vision and get spooky with us as we paint animal skeletons with a glow in the dark twist. Don't be alarmed by our anatomical accuracy, we're breaking out all our usual tricks to make sure this art is simple for artists of all levels to replicate.

8:30 AM-4:00 PM Do you love animals? Do you think measuring, scrubbing, sweeping, and interacting with wild animals would be a perfect day? Have you always wanted to be a zookeeper? Well, here is your chance to see if you have what it takes. Come to the Zoo for a hands‒on, behind-the-scenes, fun-filled day. Participants will spend their day with a staff member learning about the life of a zookeeper. The program includes watching animal training, learning about animal diets, meeting ambassador animals and helping to clean exhibits.
